Apple Butter
Ingredients
3kg apples (about 16 apples)
1 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
cloves (optional, as desired)
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
Directions
Peel, core, and rough cut the apples. Add to the Instant Pot.
Add the rest of the ingredients except the vanilla. Add a small amount of water on the bottom.
Set the instant pot for “Manual” 90 minutes, plus 10 minutes natural release.
Use a hand blender to blend until completely smooth.
Set the instant pot to “Slow Cook” for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Do not fully cover with a lid.
Add vanilla and allow to cool.
Store in the fridge or the freezer.
